New Layout - SIMPLE :)

Hello you guys :) How you doing? sorry for not posting more this week! I've worked on a new layout a while ago since got tired of my face..no honestly I've got so creeped out everytime I would come to my blog, so I decided for this one to be more simple. And no matter how hard I tried I couldn't make it any summery or elegant haha That's just not me, I love simple and clean, and neutral...Too much can look a little trashy in my eyes but I guess it's just me haha J'en ferais quoi? Hope you like it :) Not sure if I do though haha

Since I don't want this post to be wasted on a few lines I thought I might should introduce you to my anthem of simple...I mean this blog is called SavingSimplicity right? Pretty sure everyone knows it already haha but whatever. Enjoy :)

A decent post is going to come soon, I tried to take some pictures today haha but as always I don't dare to post them. Maybe tomorrow :)

Officially done with school!

Hello out there! can't believe I've survived a whole week without posting anything. I'm very sorry but I graduated and prom was also on Friday which is why I was stuck in school the whole week to prepare our school for the night of nights! If you like I could do a post about my prom dress and my hair :)

I honestly have to say it eventually was a lot less stressfull and so much more fun than I thought (excluding the fact that I only got to sleep 3 hours after prom just to come back and clean the school with everyone...what a nice way to spend the last few hours with everyone!) and I also had an excuse to order tons and tons of beauty products to review. So stay tuned! They will follow soon, I promise!

I was literally blown away by all the lovely responds for my last post! Thank you so much! I will do this more often I guess :) And as I've promised I TRIED to take outfit pictures..Unfortunetely I failed miserably so this didn't turn out fancy. I guess I will have to practice. This is basically the only one where I didn't feel like pulling my hair out haha But don't worry, I'll just practice!

I know this post has been very unproductive and not very helpful, a better one will follow tomorrow!
Thank you so much for reading

Liebster-Award :)

An awesome person and blogger, Lucy from It's Lily Locket, nominated me for an Liebster-Award and since I've always been thinking that doing this is so much, I decided to dedicate this my next post.

First of all, thank you so much Lucy! I feel soo soo honored!

1. Each person nominated must list 11 facts about themselves

1. When I'm tired or bored my voice tends to get veeery deep and raspy... a little bit like Harry Styles according to my friend haha
2. "Ships in The Night" by Mat Kearny is my "shower-song" because I tend to forget the time when I'm showering and my parents freaked out after the last bills. I had to give myself a kind of limit. When the song ends (after around 4 minutes) I force myself to get out.
3. I'm really good at staying up until morning but really bad at getting up.
4. I bought 10 books at a book sale 3 months ago and haven't started reading ANY of them
5. I'm a horrible story teller and give up after the half of it
6. I'm really bad at time management. Not because I wouldn't know how to be punctual but because I can't find the motivation to stand up and get ready.
7. Thanks to hay fever and a cross reaction I am basically allergic to every single fruit on earth :( Well I still can eat bananas and grapes haha
8. "Over the Love" by Florence + the Machine gives me chills ever since I've seen a "Borgias" (the TV-Show) video with it. Florence has the most impressive voice in the entire world.
9. When I concentrate on something I look very angry (I blame my eyebrows haha). People call it "the death stare"
10. I love being at airports because they get me very excited for the trip and make me feel busy.
11. "Life is beautiful" by Vega 4 has been my "theme song" during my road trip in America and stayed my theme song during all my travels that followed.

2. Answer the 11 questions set by your tagger

1. What encouraged you to start your blog?
I kind of got tired of writing my diary, however I needed to practice writing in English for my A-level exam, so I decided to start writing my blog. I've been missing creating layouts, homepages, editing pictures and being creative and doing all the things on the computer I didn't get to do since I turned 15. Writing a blog gave me the perfect opportunity to do all that and share my opinion on my favorite things, especially on music, beauty-products and clothes haha.
2. What is your favourite post that you have done?
Oh this is really difficult since I haven't posted much. I'm still waiting for a very exciting post to come, I know my blog is boring but what am I supposed to do? :D I'm giving my best I promise! but if I had to choose I guess it would be my first. I got so excited about blogging for the first time.
3. How long have you been blogging for?
I believe I've started in February, which makes it 4 months! However, I had a break for about 1-2 months during my exams.
4. What is your favourite movie?
I am very much one of these people that constantly say "I love movies" but forget every single movie they've watched as soon as this question comes up. I guess it's "The Perks of being a Wallflower"! It's an amazing adaption to the book.
5. What is your favourite fashion designer?
Salvatore Ferragamo I guess. I know he's dead but I really like how the company kept his spirit and his ideas in their concept and designs. They are timeless and classy, not excessively exaggerated but with that certain something. And for some reason I have the feeling like his brand is making a kind of come back now. Am I boring you? haha
6. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Good question. Hopefully alive, healthy and happy :) I honestly have no clue what to do with myself, that's why I'm taking a gap year.
7. What is your favourite blog?
Very good question but I honestly said don't have one. I'm a person with many many interests and depending on my mood I decide on what blog I like to read the most.
8. What do you most like about blogging?
Call me a creepy person but I love typing on the computer. I really love writing up my thoughts and since I just finished school I really prefer my keyboard over my pen...On the other hand I'm pretty sure I will miss it VERY soon. But no honestly, I think it's the fact that you can share your opinions without the feeling of being watched and judged by the facebook-generation.
9. What is your favourite item of clothing?
uhm...I'm gonna cheat a little and say handbags. I don't like carrying them around unless I go on a longer trip but I love buying them the most since you don't have to try them on, ergo they are less frustrating.
10. What is your favourite thing to cook?
I love cooking anything Italian :) I love the range of spices their kitchen is based on.
11. What is your favourite city?
I'd say San Francisco is a very nice place but never will I forget how my friends were dragging me up those steep steep STEEP hills ughh. I guess it's London :)

3. Create your own 11 questions
Sorry, my questions are so random, but these are the ones that just crossed my mind :)

1. Where do you get your inspirations and ideas for your posts from?
2. About what topic do you think do you blog the most?
3. What's currently your favorite song?
4. What's your favorite trend this summer?
5. How much time do you spend on blogging and visiting other blogs?
6. What's your favorite ice cream? :D
7. What does blogging mean to you?
8. What would you do if there was a rain storm outside?
9. When did you start blogging?
10. What do you wish to archive with your blog?
11. You philosophy of life?

4. Tag up to 11 up-and-coming bloggers (typically under 300 followers)

New In: Prom Haul Part 1 - Drugstore

Hellooooo out there! The rain storm outside blew my anticipation of summer away, however, I figured that it's a quite nice excuse to stay inside for once and blog a little bit :)

I don't know if I've told you but it's prom-time next Friday and since my dress is the only point I can check off from my list, i've decided to go buy some potential prom make up-products. I'm planing on presenting my haul in two parts, the first one is obviously about the drugstore/high-street products and the second will be about the more fancy ones (Well I consider them as fancy ;))

You could basically call this a Maybelline haul haha I don't know I guess I went a little bit crazy here. But we will start off with the only non-Maybelline product which is by Catrice. I'm not sure if this brand is well known but I definetely think their products are worth to be mentioned

Catrice Liquid Gold Topper: I've never been skilled in describing things but this product takes my unskilfulness to a whole new level. At first it looks like a Serum with glitter and when you shake it well (as the instruction is saying) it becomes...uhm liquid gold? haha I'm not kidding it's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to use it.

Maybelline Color Tatoos in #35 "On-and-on-Bronze" and #05 "Eternal-Gold":
I had the feeling like everyone was raving about them, so I picked up two ones since the colors fit to my dress. I really love how they feel on your skin, they remind me on the MAC Paint Pots, but apparently are a tiny bit more pigmented. I'm not sure if they last for 24h but I really hope so since my eye-lids have sadly stayed invincible...at least when it comes to eyeshadow :(

Maybelline Master Drama Chromatics in "Turquoise Vibe" and "Vibrant Gold"
I have honestly said never seen these before. I mean I knew the Master Dramas but I guess the "Chromatic" line must be new. I've been thinking of getting a gold khol liner since as you guys know my dress has golden details. However, the turquoise one instantly caught my eye and as soon as I got the chance to try it out...I instantly fell in love with it. It's sooooooo pigmented, your eyeshadows can definetely be considered as replaced and I admit I'm a sucker for summery colors! I still unsure whether to use it for prom or not but I had to get it!

I've been experimenting with them but since hay fever attacked me this morning I couldn't do a proper make up, I'm sorry, I promise I soon will post one!

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner
Clinique has been one of the first brands to bring out geleyeliners and I remember people barely payed attention to it. I, as a lucky person with sunken eye lids (bohoo!), however, have always loved how long the line would last without smudging. Now Clinique in Europe is slightly expensive so I'm glad that Maybelline came out with an alternative. I honestly have to say I am NOT disappointed.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream
First of all I have a REALLY REALLY good feeling about this BB-Cream. (And this one is actually not part of the plan for my wedding make up. Now as most of you probably know that the BB-Creams have become popular thanks to the Koreans. Korean BB-Creams usually look slightly grey and match their colors to the actual skin tone as soon as you apply it.( A little bit like the Loreal ones)
However, I've realized that the ones over here are really toned and obviously should not only be used to even your skin out but to make yourself look tanned. Since I am naturally tanned I didn't really like how orange these kind of BB-Creams looked like. However, they got me right there as soon as I've read "Salicylic Acid"(an ingredient doctors use for acne ointments). I've been suffering from acne for years, and my skin has just gotten better thanks to my mom and her lemons (haha but this is a nother story) and I really hope this will help my skin to heal. I really like how it feels on my skin, not too heavy and even more important, it does not make my skin oily! There's nothing more gross than having oily skin during summer time!
I don't know what I will think in a few weeks but if you wish I will write a review on this product :)

YOU MADE IT YAYY! Thank you so much for reading if you have gotten until here! I really hope I've somewhat helped you. The second one will follow very soon!

New Camera + New Beginning

Hello out there! You might have noticed that I've been struggeling with finding some time to blog. It honestly isn't because I've turned my back on you but because I've been busy with school. But now that I'm holding my A-level results in my hands and am done with my internship there's basically nothing that could stop me from sharing my thoughts with you! :) Let's have a new beginning.

I've recently purchased a new camera for my move to London (SO EXCITED!!!) and decided to try it out.
I know this is not really beauty related and many people probably will think it's weird to take pictures of something "ugly" like this. The graduation cap. However, since I'm not a lucky American but live in a country in Europe where we don't get to throw these in the air, my host family in America decided to surprise me with a "Graduation Package" disguised as a delivery from Bath and Body Works!

This thing was not only filled with tons and tons of Pop-Tarts (I really miss them over here!), I even got my graduation cap (I know I'm weird! You don't have to tell me haha) and am ready to throw it in the air as soon as I receive my report card ... well not exactly on stage/during the ceremony, I really don't want to be dragged to the nuthouse on my last day of school haha.

Have I ever told you that 13 is my lucky number? On the other hand I guess you could tell it from my blog name haha

So when are you going to graduate? I really hope you don't mind when I blog about these kind of things! I promise I will blog a lot more now and a new layout is following! :) Thank you so much for reading
