About Leaving London,Home and Summer Tan - Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Review

Dear Summer you have been absolutely terrible at times and I am very glad my favourite season Autmn is on the doorstep to welcome me. However, where did the tan come from?

Hellooo you guys! Please skip down to the bronzer pictures if you only want to read the review

I know I have been promising a lot and didn't hold them. Yet please know I absolutely love this place and when I saw Sierra tweeting to me (which I usually never check!) I decided to finally get a grip and sit down and post. There have been many times when I started a post in the last few months but never really sent it off. It's incredible how one person can finally make you do it, right? Seeing her blog blossom into this beautiful thing since the last time I saw it, really inspires me to put more effort into the things I love and reactive my old dusty photoshop skills. Thank you so much dear! It was just a few lines but i hope you know that the timing was absolutely perfect and therefore meant a lot to me :)

So many things have changed the last few months, not all of them in a positive way. My gap year in London is over but I am very much glad I am going to Uni soon. But don't you worry my appetite for beauty products never decreased therefore I packed enough to review for the rest of the year until I return haha And we'll start off with my favourite Bronzer.

As a person that is not very much a fan of Summer (except for the wonderful mornings when the air is clear or the warm nights) I have to admit I didn't come out a lot during the day time, I prefered the nights i spent on my friends rooftop enjoying the view of London when the sun goes down. Therefore I didn't get a proper tan on my face which is usually the only pale part of my body haha. Thank God I purchased a little helper that has been on my wish list for more than 2 years and will help me conceal the lack of sun i got this season.

 REVIEW: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil
The reason I absolutley love this Bronzer is that it's MATTE. I had lots of different Bronzers, some really good ones but they were all glowy, which is great from time to time but I was looking for one that would help me contour my face and non-existing cheekbones without looking orange and unnatural. It's extremely pigmented and therefore absolutely perfect for contouring and gives you a very natural looking tan.

I usually use the MAC #168 Brush to contour my the cheekbones. It goes perfectly with the Bronzer, which is really easy to build up, putting up the layers of intensity.
When my needs simply needs colour I like using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to dust it over my cheeks and my forehead, as the hair of the brush is a little bit more solid (if you know what i mean :D) and therefore doesn't take as much product as the MAC one would.

All in all I really love it, it has become one of my everyday-products. I know everyone was rambling about the Hoola-Bronzer by Benefit for a while but i must say I like the intensity of my Chocolate Soleil a lot better. And the best - it does not only smell of delicious Milk-Chocolate but it also taste very sweet. Not that I am encouraging you to eat it...Not that I intentionally tried it :D I happened to inhale with my mouth while I put ot on my face haha

Wow that was a very very very long post. I don't really think you got until here but if you did that's wonderful! Thank you very much for reading!

Let's get NAKED 3rd time! - Review

HELLLOOOOOOOO my last post has been 10 days ago! hey that's not toooo bad I suppose! :D I can't believe it's going to be Christmas in 10 more days...or 9, depending on which side of the earth you live!
And WHAT could be more exciting than Christmas shopping?

Thanks to my iphone thief, it's not going to turn out too big this year as my budget decreased extremely after getting a new phone...however, I still went to the House Of Fraser to enjoy being a London resident and get the Naked 3 Palette (and by accident a few more things.............)

While many Americans already got the chance to try out 12 new brilliant eyeshadows, most UK residents will have to wait until tomorrow 16 December...or today as I'm writing through the night haha

So let's start! My first impression of it - pink or rosy!
The package already gives you and idea of what the eyeshadows might look like.

Package
It does not come with an extra urban decay product like the naked 1 and 2 but impresses with a solid package, which feels like...something between plastic and metal I suppose haha
It looks very much like the Naked 2 palette from the outside, however, the lid has a certain texture that gives it its own touch.
Also it includes a brush or in fact two. An eyeshadow brush and flat brush which got me really excited. I absolutely adore brushes by Urban Decay.

Colours
Just like the other palettes, Naked 3 offers 12 different sparkling or matte eyeshadows. But while Naked 1 and 2 in comparison have quite similiar neutral to cold shades, Naked 3 seems to go for warmer directions
They all have a slighty pinkish and rosy undertone, which I honestly said was not too sure about, and
range from lighter colours for a day make up and darker colours for a night outs.
My favourites are Limit, Trick, Nooner, Factory, Dark Side and Blackheart (I know it looks black but it's dark red) and mostly on the darker side (we have cookies haha) as I prefer brown over pink but I do love them all! they all go along well and make it impossible to mess up your eye make-up...colourwise at least

Quality
The first thing I have noticed about the sparkling glittery eyeshadows is that they crumble inside the palette and eventually on your eyelids...or your face depending on where it eventually lands haha You can even see it on my arm...
However, after using an eyeshadow primer (it doesn't have to be the Urban Decay one, I tried it with several primers) it will last for the rest of the night. No crumbling, no glittery face and veeeeeeeeeery pigmented colours!

DO I LIKE IT?
Yes. I prefer darker colours and love brown, however, I cannot say that I regret buying this. It is a really good palette and I absolutely understand why the numbers of sold palettes have gone through the roof. As I have already said I did have the feeling Naked 1 and Naked 2 are quite similiar, but Urban Decay came up with a completey new range of colours by bringing out Naked 3. And what I especially like about it is that the colours are quire unique (especially Darker Side and Blackheart), so that even people that have plenty of palettes by different brands will most likely not get bored!
I personally am really excited to experiment with it and to be honest it was about time to go for these shades of colours! I absolutely adore Holland Roden aka Lydia Martin's Make up from Teen Wolf!

I will upload a new video of Naked 3 looks soon if you like :)

Are you going to go to the Urban Decays countes? What are YOUR favourite shades? and combinations?!

Thank you so much for reading! i hope this was helpful! Love your lots

Andrea xx

Mascara-Showdown: Colossal vs. False Lashes

Hello out there! Now that I am finally done with the A-Levels and only a month away from graduating I  FINALLY found the time to reactivate my blog. I really hope you come back to say hi!

We'll start off with something small but I promise there is going to be more very soon!

I really love Maybelline Mascaras and they are probably the only drugstore mascaras I have ever liked (nothing beats my Lancôme Hypnose Drama though!), but since everyone's eyes are on their new baby "Rocket Mascara" I decided to write about two other ones. Not that I don't like the Rocket one, honestly said it's my favorite but there are soooooooo many reviews out there. So why not looking at the "older" ones? Just in case you haven't tried them ;)

Brush: Both are made of  . While the False Lashes has a rather curvy brush the Colossal one's is described as a "Mega brush", which is why I think they are incomparable. TIED!

Length: The Colossal-Mascara barely adds any length to my lashes, the False-Lashes one does it with a super natural effect. One point for FALSE LASHES!

Volume: Both are blessed with the subtitle "Volume Express", both live up to their names. The Colossal  adds a lot more volume though which means...oh well One Point for COLOSSAL!

Color: No doubt One Point for COLOSSAL. I have tried many MANY mascaras but this one the blackest mascara I have ever seen and even beats my beloved Hypnose Drama by Lancôme...colourwise at least!

Lasting: The Colossal-Mascara starts crumbling off your lashes and sometimes ends up on your face after a long loooooong day. It lasts though, just not the entire day. One Point for False Lashes!

Curling: Since I am doomed to live with the shortest lashes a girl can have this is an unbelievably important point for me. The False-Lashes-mascara holds the curl quite well (not as well as the Rocket and especially not as well as the Great Lashes one though) while the Colossal....I don't know anything else to say than big big FAIL. My lashes go straight down to earth even when curling with my Shu Uemura! One Point for False Lashes!!!!

And the winner is...I guess you can count but just in case you can't *rataplan*...The False Lashes-Mascara!!! at least it's my personal favorite and before the Rocket one came along I seriously considered to repurchase (I probably will!) this product, which I have (besides my Hypnose Drama) never done before! It gives your lashes a very natural and beautiful look so you might want to try!

Thank you so much for reading my first post in a long! I really hope this was somewhat helpful or entertaining! There is a lot more to come ALSO...
since I will be off to London in a few weeks I consider buying a new camera! Any suggestions please?!!!!!!!! :)

xx Andrea

Rimmel Haul Part III: Eyes

Hello you guys! how are you doing?
As I've told you this was going to be my last week of school. However I didn't go to school today because all of my classes have been cancelled. I still considered to go but since I've found that taking pictures for 5 minutes wasn't worth the effort of finding a costume I didn't go. Big mistake. Today has been the day where we were going to prank the teachers and even better do the harlem shake all together. Great, I missed it.

Anyways, here's the third part!

It's bigger than the other ones and focuses on eye-products. I am going to start of with the mascaras.

1.The Max Bold Curves Mascara
When I tried this first I wasn't too impressed. It gets clumpy after the second coat. However it makes your lashes look super long. And I am saying this as a Maybelline False Lashes user! I cannot use this product on it's own but in combination with other mascaras this one is perfect. It has a huge brush, which I love haha. Especially for my lashes in the outer corner of my eye!

2. Sexy Curves Intense Black Mascara
Now this one is an amazing product! Since my lashes are pretty straight and short I've always had a hard time finding mascaras that would hold the curl. This is the very first non-waterproof which fulfills this. It has a unique looking brush with ...welll I don't know how to describe it haha it's bumpy! The best is probably that it gives your lashes volume and makes them look kind of healthy and glossy, ergo it makes your eyes appear more awake and bright! This is probably going to be my very first drugstore mascara I'll be repurchasing!

3. Glam' Eyes Mono Eye Shadow #130 "Tribute"
It's a kind of purple-silverish-plum color haha I don't know how to describe it. But I instantly fell in love with the color. It's very pigmented and the prettiest color I've ever seen!

4. Glam' Eyes HD Quad Eyeshadow #005 "English Rose"
I thought this looked very interesting. Not only because of the Union Jack but also because of the color-combination. The colors are kind of redish-brown and I am super excited for trying these on my eyes!

5. Glam' Eyes Trio Eyeshadow #621 "Orion"
I didn't notice this one was called Orion in the drugstore. haha Orion is my favorite constellation and since it stands for hunters the colors now make sense. They are very natural earth-tones. I purchased this because of the matte colors, which I prefer using for everyday eye make-up.

Now that's it for now. I really hope you enjoyed my Rimmel Haul and found it somehow helpful. I love their products. They are not too pricey but of great quality!
xx Andrea

Rimmel Haul Part II: Face

Hello there!! as I've promised here the Second part of my rimmel haul a few days ago :)

It is going to be about the "Face"-products I've purchased and (unfortunetely) only includes 2 products again. These two are truly amazing and are very useful though, so stay tuned! I promise the third and last part will be alot bigger!

1. STAY MATTE Foundation (201 Classic Beige)
It supposedly contains "chamomille to calm, cucumber to help clarify and cotton to help shine control". These three ingredients are honestly said the main reason why I purchased this foundation because I have super oily skin and ingredients like cucumber and chamomille (also green tea by the way!) help a lot to mattify your skin and keep the oil production under control. It is very light and almost feels (and also the package looks) like a BB-Cream. It gives a lot more coverage though (picture below!) and lasts for hours. I think it's perfect for summer when it's too hot to use a heavy foundation because your skin produces too much oil.

2. NATURAL BRONZER (021 Sun Light)
Now this bronzer is VERY true to its name. If you are looking for something that would make your face look sunkissed without looking overbronzed this product is perfect for you. I like to apply this bronzer with my kabuki-brush and just contour my face. You can't even see that you are wearing bronzer, yet your face will look contoured and  naturally sunkissed, which I think is very important when you wear bright lipsticks. Being overbronzed and wearing a bright lipstick could make you look like a potential candidate for jersey shore *cough* I really love using this for my face and add a darker bronzer on my cheeks to contour the cheekbones. It also has SPF :)

I just realized I've been wearing this shirt everytime I take pictures haha but no seriously it's not the only outfit I own! don't worry! :D

I hope this post was somewhat helpful :) ! Are you going to try these two babies? Also don't forget to check out Part I..Click HERE

Rimmel Haul Part I: Lips

Hello there!!! How are you doing?
I've been to the drugstores for a rimmel sale!
As I've promised I now am going to introduce my haul to you. However, I am going to do that sperated in three parts: Lips, Face and then Eyes.

Today's post: Lips
Now I didn't buy many lip products. In fact I've only purchased two lipsticks. But they are truly amazing! I love them! I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures before I tried them at home :(

 1. Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick #16
Smells of raspberry. Looks like raspberries. I love raspberries haha When you google this shade you would find that it looks more like a coral lipstick. But it really doesn't. It's more of a bright pink with a slight coral touch. It's a gorgeous matte lipstick. Perfect for spring and summer.

2. Lasting Finish Lipstick #206 NUDE PINK
Now this shade doesn't really look like a nude color on my arm, rather like a beautiful rosegold. But when you apply it on your lips it looks quite natural. But since it has a slight shimmer it's very eyecatching at the same time. I have no idea how to describe this haha You will have try it yourself. It's really pretty. And this is coming from a nude-lipstick-hater. I tend to think of them as very unnatural since lips always have some color and simply don't look like skin. I love this one though!

What do you think? Do you like the colors? :) I hope you all had a great day xxx

Pamper Evening for One!

Good evening! or night :) Did you have a stressfull week? Same here!
So I wanted to do this post yesterday but I just couldn't make it yesterday, I'm sorry.

If you don't know what a pamper evening is, it simply is a very relaxing evening where you can treat yourself with good things. You usually do that in groups but it's also good on your own.
Now that I am officially done with writing my exams and I won't write any more until my A-Levels, which is in a month, I now and then "force" myself to just let go of all my duties and relax.

1. The Body Shop CRANBERRY JOY Shower Gel
I usually take a bath but when I don't have the time to I like to use these for a shower. The fruity cranberry
scent is perfect for when you feel tired and drained.

2. THE BODY SHOP Cranberry Joy Body Lotion
So now this is extremely shimmery, which I hate. But it smells like heaven! The scent is pretty intense and
lasts for a quite while. And it makes your skin literally feel like a baby sheep!

3. The ARTDECO Aromatic Body Cream Skin Yoga
I love anything that contains shea butter so I tried these samples. I really love the scent, it's not fruity at all
but very revitalizing. And I really l really love how my skin feels like after treating it with this product.
Definetely going to purchase the full bottle!

4. YANKEE CANDLE - Summer Breeze
I love scented candles. And this one for some reason reminds me on my holidays in croatia last year! Very
fruity and delicious! The entire room screams summer when there's still snow outside haha

5. GOOD SALAD
Haha I seriously dislike eating salads. I can't live without meat. But on pamper evenings I at least try to
reduce the amount of meat. That's when I run to the fridge and start to throw random stuff into a bowl and
    fry some champignons.

I know there's ham but hey at least I tried!! Also Follow me on instagram! I'm linhandrea or Click HERE

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you have a great night xx

Review: Looking for a new scent?

Hello there! How is everybody doing? :) If you are looking for a new scent this might be interesting for you!
Today I would like to introduce you guys to my new favorite scent La vie est belle. It has been created by french perfumers for Lancôme and I've been using this every day ever since I got this from my brother as a birthday gift two weeks ago. You can purchase it HERE or HERE ! there are smaller bottles available but my brother got me the bigger one.

I think the name is perfect because it means Life is Beautiful and has been my motto ever since I listened to Vega 4's "Life is Beautiful" on my Road Trip in America. Very considerate little brother!
At first I honestly said wasn't too excited because I considered the scent for elder people *cough* Julia Roberts *cough* I made the common mistake to sniff instead of spraying it on my wrist. So I sniffed and cringed a little. Sweet. but Old...Also the bottle nahh...but since I didn't want to disappoint my brother I eventually sprayed it on my hand. It wasn't too bad by then but then....after around 15 Minutes!!!!! HEAVEN.

Now La vie est belle is a little more sophisticated than my other ones but thanks to its sweet, slightly flowery and very unique scent (sorry I am horrible at describing but this one is way too unique to describe. I promise) it at the same time is perfect for every age group.
It lasts all day. And the BEST: You only have to spray once or twice since it's an extremely intense (but not too overwhelming as I said) scent. The bottle is very simple and somewhat bulky. You also can only recognize Lancôme by the rose on the nozzle. It comes in a rosegold package with glittery cover.

How about people's reaction? Well...my girlfriends love it, even when you can't smell it anymore people still smell it when you walk by. And if you should worry about the male's....
When I walked into my math class some guys started to surround my table because they smelled something really good. It took me a while to realise it was me. They didn't notice until I got my good-morning hugs, so it made me giggle to watch how they were trying to find out where the smell came from haha that was interesting!

IMPORTANT!!!: Make sure that you try/buy the Eau de Parfume, Eau de Toilette never lasts more than 2 hours.

Wow that was a long text but I just love it! Merci pour la lecture! Hope you had a great day!
Andrea xx
